I wouldn't put to much weight in BTAB Brian Modoff's analysis. Not a very good track record IMO. The key to understanding QCOM's earning leverage is margin expansion and royalties.

Re : the lack of "Q Phone" production

Having seen the "thin phone" at this year's annual meeting, my own thought was -- there is no reason to bother producing the Q Phone any longer.

Even though the Q Phone folds in half (and the thin phone does not), I am pretty sure that my wife would rather put a thin phone in her purse than a Q Phone.

Maybe the people at the highest levels of Qualcomm used a similar "wifey's purse" analysis.
