Wayne, I think the short term result will be what it has been lately. The short term rates will continue to drop or hold steady while the long term bond players ignore the Fed. There is simply too much supply and not enough demand for all the long bonds being issued, corporate and govt. Not to mention the Fannie, Freddie, Sallie and Ginnie crap.
