The Israeli Army doesn't use women in front line units, and there have been various debates about how close their support role should be. I have no objection to women serving in some capacity, just further away from the action... The reference to fire departments is very apt. Women do not have the upper body strength of men, and departments have degraded safety standards throughout the country. Also, it turns out that the Air Force fudged ratings to get women pilots into jets, and it is probable that the pilot who died last year did so because she just couldn't cut it...
