>And I don't see NATO as the victors here. Unless they start acting like they want to win a war that they themselves started.

In order for NATO to win this battle they will either bomb the whole country to pieces (quick, which company makes the most bombs and/or cruise missiles, anyone?) or go in with ground troops. They know that ground troops will be at a huge political costs which I doubt any of the NATO leaders has the stomach to accept. In addition, ground troops and supplies will take months to get there. I also heard that the port of Thessaloniki in Greece will be used for the transport material...Ha ha, the Greek govt will never accept this because if they do they are finished...Even if this happens I guarantee you there will be thousands of Greek civilians blocking the roads there...

Billy has made huge miscalculation blunders here folks. He has managed to get a huge number of Albanians kicked out of Kosovo, he has created huge humanitarian aid needs in Albania and FYROMacedonia (that's the official name and not Macedonia which is a province in N. Greece but that's another Balkan story). He has managed to piss off royally the Russians and the nationalists there are taking advantage of it. China and India of course are not behind. He has managed to make Milosevic stronger than ever and the Serbs to hate the West for decades (centuries?). The biggest blunder may be the capture of the three soldiers. Already the media here in the US is taking over with interviews with the parents of the soldiers, yellow ribbons, interviews with high school coaches, former girlfriends and babysitters (they are coming...<g>). THIS WILL cause the polls to start taking effect and Billy always looks at those. I can see it now....STOP THE BOMBING BRING THE BOYS HOME slogans...

The biggest advantage of the Serbs now are the 3 soldiers. They can say that they keep moving them around Kosovo and that they are prone to NATO's bombs. So if NATO does not come to the table soon they may decide that one of the bombs fell on them! (I hope not). Meanwhile the media here will make these guys heroes and we will learn all about them. Can you imagine Clinton leaving a legacy of Monica AND bodybags, yikes!

Milosevic got the upper hand, he got 3 US soldiers on hand, he got most Albanians out of Kosovo and he got his people behind him...Time for Billy to negotiate out of this fiasco and fire Cohen and the "ridiculous" James Rubin (where did they find this guy?) and the macho nacho Clarke...

Clinton said today that he will hold personally responsible Milosevic for the safety of the three soldiers...How about the Serbs holding Clinton personally responsible for the bombs that keep falling on them?

A look at Stratfor's site on the NATO targets include bridges, schools, and an appliance factory where people worked there for over 50 years!

Hope this ends soon, everyone will be better off.

Meanwhile, the Greek stock market took another dive of almost 8% yesterday!

George

Nato and Clinton's best hope for victory...

Hire the judges from the Hollyfield-Lewis fight to give the next war briefing.

Clinton is not Kennedy2, he's LBJ2
Micromanaging a dirty little war like Johnson did, Clinton is looking more like Johnson every day.

Don't forget those approval ratings. They kinda lag, if not say more.
NATO is not ready to go in full force, because there is no real support in side their own countries. They are trying very hard to create it. Will they succeed?

I question this.
or
Perhaps you would care to explain.

<<War crimes - an oxymoron if ever there was one.
Created only by the victors.
>>

It is perhaps naive of me but I don't believe this.
I cannot speak for American servicemen and women but I am quite certain about Canada. The recently disgraced, and disbanded, Airborne Regiment comes to mind. In both of our countries soldiers are not allowed to loot, rape, murder civilians, commit random acts of arson or systematic acts of torture. It is of course quite possible that I am entirely wrong. I do know that the Canadian military does not allow this, but it does happen, it is however not "normal course".

NATO is not playing, it is in deadly earnest. It has been from the beginning. Official intelligence is a key tool in the information age. I wonder what Stratfors paying customers get, heheheh. What we get is CNN competing with ABC competing with CBS, not to mention the mags and the papers and the talkshows.
