Lindy
A few weeks ago someone suggested UNPH. It continues to rocket. I've owned its soon to be partner JDS Fitel for sometime now and have no regrets. Suggest you check this out as part of your potential gorilla diversification scheme.

JDS/UNPH has an excellent chance of dominating the optical component market. One stop active and passive catalogue of products. Biggest of the main component suppliers (SDLI and Etek) being the others. Tornado market growth. Relatively high barriers to entry mainly due to the intellectual capital required to continue to innovate in this market segment.

There is now a combined JDS/UNPH thread in recognition of the merger coming to fruition soon (June I think). Recommend you have a look there as part of your quest.

Congratulations, Quickdraw McGraw. You beat me to it again. I'm still trying to figure out a new allocation that will include qcom.

I can't help you on the i-nutz, Bill. I only one one of them, aol, and you are very familiar with it. I tried cmgi, but found my tolerance for volatility had its limits.

Maybe some of the younger dudes can help you; they seem to understand the dot.com issues better than us Silverbacks <g>.

Got any hot tips, you "silver-tongued devils"?
LB, I agree on ATHM. Been in for a few wonderful weeks.

Have a look at PMCS. They have an excellent position in providing ATM chips to CSCO and everybody else.

Also look at UNPH. A truly major player in fiber optic components, merging with ADS to pretty well lock up the market.

CNXT is an up and coming broadband component player. Recent spin off of Rockwell, with some major surprises.

Don't forget NTAP and EMC, both steady 100% performers year to year.
