Being first does seem to have advantages. First-mover advantage is critical on the Net. Amazon. AOL. Yahoo. eBay. DoubleClick. E*TRADE. Dell. Seems that people are more loyal to quality service and price than they are to their spouses and jobs these days. I've said this before on another thread and I'll say it again: RC Cola beat Coke in most taste tests in the '70s and '80s, but Coke was worldwide much earlier.
