<<Doesn't the price usually drift lower on lower volume?>>

You know, Blue, for quite some time now I have noticed Xoma's closing price has little to do with volume -- with very rare exception -- and, need I add, nothing to do with company news. It's as if the market maker is just sitting there at his desk, bored stiff, shuffling shares and tweaking the price by 1/32ds and 1/16ths just to keep up appearances.

Maybe Xoma is trying for the Guinness Book of World Records for the Longest Time Stock Price Did Nothing Much.
