This is all a circular argument. Lets start by naming a good one. How about PMC-Sierra? OK, maybe overvalued now or not. Can you put it in your RRSP? No. Why not? Well if it was sold on the TSE, and met certain other criteria, you could. As it is, you can't.

I'm as frustrated about the poor performance of Canadian Hi-tech stocks as anyone. Try buying a Canadian mutual fund which uses derivatives to mirror the index. Its slower than an individual stock, but still beats the TSE, and still beats some of the Canadian tech-stocks.

All said and done, I've no complaints about ATI in the last six months. Wish I'd had some Celestica though.
