To give a different slant to the options announcement.

I have used options to a considerable extent for adding to a position, for protection, and to add to total return on a position. Whether it adds or decreases the trading of the stock is hard to determine; however, because having options increase the attractiveness of trading in a stock should be positive. What we need is large institutional trading in the stock to bring in the really large players. Options will allow the large traders ways of protecting their positions. I know I don't like to trade stocks without options because it does limits ones ability to protect and leverage a position.

Just a personal thought.

Bill

Sorry Skane, I was only lurking on the APCO thread from time to time. I'm not in to options & don't recall any details/conclusions from those discussions.
