I was unaware of the fact that those other systems would permit that but I too would like an explanation.

SOES, IMHO, is very useful in a fast mkt to get 1000 shares and ride it and to get out as well when you are done riding. It is too hard to get executed by anything else due to the rapidity. I have made $5-10,000 in 5 minute by this method. It is better then drugs.

Please explain how Datek allows an Island order that can be used as a stop loss. If you look at the current ISLD book for any stock you will see BIDS at the inside BID and below and the ASK at the inside ASK and above. I don't see how you can place an order to Offer shares below the current inside BID.
