*Hal and the WWeb* Yes, Hal was a 'bad guy' but Q! technology is the good version. Interestingly, in the zygote to zeitgeist stakes, humans are likely to form a mere evolutionary pathway to something quite big, weird and different from the historic organic approach to 'life'.

Maybe 'organic' has pretty much had its day.

For a time there will be a hybrid system, where we run around the 3D world, nurturing the WWeb in a symbiotic relationship. At some stage, maybe this 'thing' will take on a life of it's own. Not any time soon, but there is a definite trend to what people have been up to over the last few millennia.

It looks okay to me so far.

Especially since Q! has a central role in creating it and 6 billion people will be buying it over the next 50 years.

"70 million USA cellphone subscribers" is about right. That's only 25%. Australia is higher. So are other places. We can expect that 68 million to increase quickly.

PS: Clark, I guess your worries about the deal are being reduced. But among the euphoria, it would be nice if somebody kept their head. Tell us if you see any wolves lurking around.
