MrGJ,

<<It seems to me that the most recent note is a bit more downbeat. Expected orders are being lowered and profitable earnings are being pushed out later in the year. It is interesting to me that you spoke to them a couple of weeks ago and already the forecast is changing for the worse. Perhaps I am reading these notes a little too closely and overanalyzing them.>>

I believe you are correct. However, I called UTEK most recently to talk specifically and mostly re the problems with Ubeam. My most recent notes reflect more problems because that's what I was after.
The number of orders was only peripheral info this time.

They don't know what the future holds and we shouldn't expect them to especially after what has happened to the industry over the last 2 years. I thought Laura did her best to be forthcoming with me. I asked her how she is holding up and she did express her frustration.

Imagine talking to investors constantly and making projections on what the future holds. She gets paid to do it and is a professional, but so are all the superstar analysts on the Street and look how far most of them are consistantly WAY off in predicting earnings for companies they have followed for years. We all know that the variables are huge and the risks enormous in this sector.

I own a business. I can't even project next months revenues within 10%! Sometimes I feel great and am overly optimistic and vice versa.

UTEK has a history of success and earnings. It hasn't been that way lately and it is easy to overreact. I get impatient but I'll have to wait like the rest of us who own UTEK.

If you have any other questions, please ask and I'll do my best.

Rgds, D
