FWIW, which may not be much, the Fed figures have definitely been trending down over the last 3-4 weeks. This reduction of easy paper did precede last year's market gesture in the direction of sanity, before the Fed panicked.

I do not understand where the cash is coming from that continues to be registered both by Trim Tabs and by AMG data. But as we know, as long as our kitchen trashbaskets are full of "Platinum" credit card offers to everyone in the family, some mechanism is still doling out Monopoly $500s--the dark orange ones.

Too bad all the Republican Hayek fans don't know the other side of Hayek ("The road to ruin is paved with paper wealth.")Just like in the 1970s all those Keynesians forgot Keynes's account of inflation as a giant fraud practiced on those, "not one out of thousand of whom understands the mechanism that is producing it" (quoted inaccurately from memory).
