The quick answer is that if you wait for all of the confirmations, then, at best, you'll get a 2 or 3 bagger over a period of 2-4 years.

If you buy now, with the uncertainty, you risk losing but may end up with a 10-bagger as a result.

The choice is yours depending upon how much risk you're comfortable with.

FWIW,
Ian.

MrGJ,

<<My question is why invest in this company at this point in time with no firm orders being placed, with 300 mm technology not being committed to (Intel) at the moment...why not invest after substantial orders are placed? If this company has a bright future there will be many buying points as there are with other fine companies. Why put capital at risk at this point?? Stock price advances for large semiconductor companies have been huge and most have had a significant 1st quarter while the stock price of Utek has done nothing but decrease.>>

If you believe in an efficient market then there is no reason to buy now. Just like there was no reason to buy Dell at less than $1.75/share in 1993. You could have waited and still made great money.

Do we really need to discuss the perf of large vs small caps? Please spare me on the issues of liquidity, etc. Only you can decide why you you would want to put capital at risk at this time in UTEK. Whoever does, does it because they think the reward outweighs the risk.

I'm not here to convince anyone of anything. Rather I voice my opinions with the hope of rational discussion. I try to do my share of homework and post it on the thread. I own many equips and bot most of them last fall. (It would be bragging to say how much TER I bot at 18.) I know what triples are from very recent experience. If I thought there was a better place for my $ in UTEK I would sell and move on. With a basis of 17 and the current situation, I don't think I'm moving anywhere soon. I could end up selling, but I think I'll wait until at least the Q2 CC and earnings.

I could be way off with UTEK and may lose. With the good fortune I've had so far maybe I deserve to strike out, to use the baseball analogy further.

Long on UTEK, D
