I just couldn't help taking a couple of jabs at someone who's Hellenic pride is overriding his good sense when it comes to his eternally chaotic homeland. "Greece, the birthplace of Democracy, where Democracy still hasn't made it out of the cradle"

Eternally chaotic homeland...sometimes I wonder about that too, that's why I only visit for summer vacations<g>

But your democracy statement is something I don't really quite get...are you saying that the American version of democracy is better than the Greek version? If yes wow that's powerful dude!

>And as for Greeks sinking NATO ships, isn't Greece part of NATO?

Yes.

>We couldn't decide if the Greek military was anti-NATO or just
incompetent.

Probably anti-NATO. But, based on what my brother told me when he served in the Greek Armed Forces in Cyprus, incompetency sure exists in it!

>Either way, it had little effect on how we accomplished our mission.

Yes, I see, just like this one...Yikes!
