Re: "I'm a friggen broker" Can't believe that was two whole years ago. I'd have to agree that that was probably the single funniest moment I've ever had on SI. I think a lot had to do with the fact that back then SI did not have spam-bots in place, membership was free so people routinely had several accounts, PR people were everywhere with no disclosure-- the wild wild west compared to today. And here we were, newbies to chat boards who barely knew each other, bonding together to pretend for one day we were the "bad guys". I think laughing about catching that poor guy in our trap was as much guilt as it was the thrill of the hunt (g). SI has come a long way in those two years. But, more importantly (IMO), the members have also come a long way. There's a definite self-policing, "you don't sh*t in your own yard", sort of attitude here compared to the "other" places. I think the fact that members do care about SI so much is a tribute to the powers that be here. - Jeff Disclaimer: The information contained in this post came from memory and is believed to be reliable, however, I reserve the right to change my mind if I ever get audited. I and/or my company/associates may or may not hold low priced GNET stock (OK, if you really must know, we don't and are kicking ourselves every day because of it) and we may or may not have received low priced GNET options as a result (OK, we didn't, but we certainly wouldn't complain if we did... hint!) It should also not be assumed that this blatantly suck-up post was written in exchange for mercy in case the Department of Energy Office of Science and/or Business Wire and/or the SEC and/or any of the several dozen companies mentioned in the webnode.com April Fools press release subpoena SI for information that might reveal I'm really an evil Canadian short-selling market maker.
