Hello,

Can someone help me out with FiberCom's mathematics? I have been reviewing the company's 10K over the weekend. Among other confusing items, it appears the company has difficulty dividing numbers.

The 10K shows
Net Income Attributable to Common Stockholders $11,355,601
Diluted Shares used in EPS Computation as 27,175,763.
Diluted EPS per Common Share $.43

11,355,601/27,175,763 = .41785

It takes some interesting rounding procedures to get that to .43. Am I missing something?

I am long the stock but am growing weary of the company's inability to correctly show its financial information, particularly on a quarter by quarter basis. (I would really like the company to compute and release 4Q '98 numbers; as well as restate 1Q and 2Q '98 numbers taking into account the pooling of interests for their 1998 acquisitions). IFCI does not make is easy to understand their financial performance.

Back to my original question about the EPS...am I missing something?
