BellSouth Wireless Data Offers Four-Tier Operator Service Program to Its
Interactive Paging Subscribers

WOODBRIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999-- BellSouth Interactive
Paging(SM) Service customers now have an exclusive Operator Service program
that offers four different levels of service ranging from standard
operator-assisted text messaging to the premium OneConnect(tm)Service, a
virtual personal communications center.

The operator service options, which are tailored to meet the varying
professional and personal needs of BellSouth'Interactive Paging Service
customers, are being provided by The National Dispatch Center, Inc. (NDC),
the nation's largest provider of operator dispatch and wireless messaging
services.

BellSouth's Interactive Paging Service lets users respond to and initiate
messages from virtually anywhere in the U.S. at anytime via Internet e-mail
and other one-way, two-way and interactive pagers, and send messages to fax
machines and telephones. The four levels of operator service give mobile
professionals an unprecedented range of enhanced messaging options such as
personal greetings, multiple-device customer accounts, and comprehensive
packages, including voice mail. The BellSouth operator service options
include: Standard Operator Dispatch Service, Enhanced Personal Greeting
Service, Corporate Toll Free Service, and OneConnect Service.

BellSouth's Standard Operator Service lets Interactive Paging Service
subscribers receive text messages on the RIM Inter@ctive(tm)Pager 950 from
callers via a nationwide, toll-free number. The Enhanced Personal Greeting
Service works just like the Standard Operator Service but users also receive
a toll-free number that is unique to them and can record a greeting in their
own voice. This message can be changed by the subscriber at any time.

The advanced Corporate Toll Free Service allows corporate accounts with
multiple devices to access all devices through one, unique toll-free number,
which is answered by an operator who announces the company name. When callers
dial the corporate 800-number, they simply ask for the name or I.D. number of
the individual they wish to message.

BellSouth's executive level OneConnect Service provides on-the-go
professionals with a personal toll-free number and the comfort and
convenience of their own virtual communications center in the palm of their
hands. This advanced, one-stop service lets callers reach the subscriber via
pager, supports numeric and operator-assisted text messaging, voice mail,
live Call Connect and fax with notification to the subscriber's pager, and
notifies the subscriber of a call. OneConnect subscribers also have the
ability to use OutDial and teleconferencing services.

All four tiers of operator service are available now to Interactive Paging
Service subscribers by calling the customer support number at 1-800-304-3044.
Prices range from 50(cent) per 80 character message for the Standard Operator
Service to $8.95 per month for OneConnect with an additional 25(cent) per
minute charge for voice mail, fax, Call Connect, OutDial and teleconferencing
services. There also is a one-time $25 activation charge for all four levels
of service.
