The Visual Investor by John Murphy is a nice read, and Elder's Trading for a living. These are easy reads but there are more detailed books once you read these. I would say I have about 36 books on fundamental and technical analysis, Options and Short Selling and 3 on value investing and 4 on Investing (i.e. The Motley Fool Investment Guide; Fundamental Analysis by Ritchie etc.). I still never shorted a stock in my life. I still like my Technical analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazines and back issue volumes probably the best and use the books now mostly as a reference point.
