GLOBAL THERMOELECTRIC ACHIEVES HEATER PRODUCTION GOAL OF 200 4/6/99 10:42 CALGARY, April 6 /CNW/ - Global Thermoelectric Inc. (TSE: GLE) today announced that it has reached its goal for production of the new A20 crew compartment heater for tracked military vehicles. ''Our objective was to achieve production of 200 units per month'', said Global President and C.E.O. Jim Perry. ''In March we shipped 202 heaters.'' ''Thanks to the effort of our manufacturing and design teams we have developed volume production capability in a remarkably short time'' said Daryl Marling, Global's Heater Division Manager. Over the next year Global plans to deliver 200 heaters per month for US Army combat vehicles.
