Actually I just got into DISH recently after watching it for months after a friend got a dish system that uses DISH technology about a year ago. DISH stock has been on the climb since announcing strong subscriber growth for many months, but there are other factors that I don't understand yet, re NEWS Corp. The DISH thread over on YAHOO financial pages seems more active than SI, over there CSJRD and raffaele_costi, Graham_NY have some interesting insights into this business. One of them is comparing DISH to AOL, re same # subscribers, same high subscriber growth rate, similar $/month revenue from subscribers.

What with all the interest in QCOM here, will need to investigate QCOM further (thanks for the info and enthusiasm, LindyBill). I notice Nokia stock has been rising since the day of the QCOM/ERICY announcement, so it appears many believe CDMA will not hurt Nokia.
