<<Don't underestimate our guts. We have plenty of guts when we need to, when it matters, and when we have leaders who deserve to have blood shed for them. But we are too smart to be willing to shed a drop of American blood for Serbia or Kosovo.>>

Which was my point (though I usually dont make it very clearly, I know, too many thought trying to get out at once ;) )

The current administration is, to make myself more clear, dangerously wishie washie. The reason this mess in Kosovo isnt over yet is because of the gradualism being conducted there. If the administration would have had the guts to make a real commitment there, we would have had a substantial build up and threw everything and the kitchen sink at Serbia. Milo would have been at the table within days. But it got flubbed. Big time. And this flubbing is indicative of every operation this administration has been involved in. A lack of resolve, a lack of leadership, a lack of will to get the job done and do it right. Integrity, in a word, is lacking. The guts follow, or rather fail to follow.

My opinion of whether or not this conflict is justified is now biased beyond recall, so I cant say. I know that this is a huge mess and I definately think we should extricate ourselves with all due speed. It will all be a moot point in a matter of days anyway, with no Albanians left in Kosovo...

I agree with you 100%.

Clinton is a draft dodger who never served a day in uniform.
General Clark's stars apparently came out of a Crackerjack box. He has
no idea what he's doing, what his purpose is, or how to execute his
mission and get the hell out. We have no great strategy as we had in
Desert Storm. We have no careful massing of power, deliberate
and well thought out strategy.

Add Samuel Berger to the list of inept people. Here we have a
national security adviser who served in the Army reserve as a dental
hygienist. Will someone please pass the laughing gas.
