To Uncle Frank: Thanks for the kind words. Yes, this is my type of place so I will certainly "hang around".

Years ago Mike Buckley and a couple of his fellow wiz's (and I) tried to convert the AOL "Networking" thread to a broad discussion of the future of "Networking" broadly defined (i.e. including the likes of Nortel Networks, Lucent, Loral and even Qualcomm). To paraphrase the Panasonic slogan - we were just a little bit ahead of our time. While it didn't get enough zip to become self sustaining, it was fun while it lasted. And I learned a lot.

Re this thread, expect it to last and I also expect to learn. Again I congratulate you both on your initiative and your positive welcoming approach. Best personal regards. Chaz too

PS On my background, such as it is, I prefer to let it leak out in the process of discussion. :-) As Mike and a few others know, I ain't no spring chicken, having retired twice already. BTW good luck yourself in your new job.

But I enjoy analysis and thought. Strange, no? But then, so do you.
