Man, tell me about it. I could never ever go back to dial up. Being able to download Netscape 4.51 in less than 2 minutes just for the heck of it is a good feeling.

I have had a cable modem for almost two years, it is always way faster than the internet (any rare delay is due to the site not my connection), very stable and contrary to popular belief it does not have a static IP address.

There are sometimes slow period very late at night or early morning which from what they tell me is due to regular maintenance. I never notice it to slow down at all during peak hours. It costs only $45/month and since I split the cost with my room-mate it is really cheap. Each extra IP address costs $5/month extra, we get two IP address so both of us can be online at the same time.

Also, keep your informative posts coming, I (and I am sure every body else) appreciates it.
