Not so sure 39 GHz auctions will start soon. FCC Auction page last post is still 2nd Report & Order it issued on 11/3/97. FCC generally addresses pending applications and related filings before starting an auction. There are quite a few of both of these at 38/39 GHz. Bird in hand worth more than two in bush as ART has 300 Mhz in many major metros and 500 MHz in some too. Auction that is close at hand is LMDS reauction that starts 4/27 and had short form filing date of last month. FCC has yet to establish a calender for 39 GHz which likely suggests not this year and if a major telco thinks it should play ostrich till then good luck.
