Two blocks? Not bad! It is indeed a treat to have lots of shellfish.... My in-laws lived in Kansas City, and one Christmas when we were visiting, an old friend sent a quart of oysters from Boston. They couldn't handle it, they were so unused to raw oysters, so my wife and I had them all to ourselves! Man, what a way to pig out!!!

It just occurred to me that if this is your Annapolis friend, he probably lives in Bay Ridge or around Thomas Point, if he is within town, or around St. Margaret's if he is near me (we still have an Annapolis address, even if outside the city limits). Of course, there are a variety of places close to the Bay in the Greater Annapolis area, but if he is in one of these areas, they are especially attractive...
