Perhaps irrelevant to the thread but, at least, it will give SI junkies something to read, the #1 & 2 box makers, IM & TECD, were both up last week on higher volume. These two + the #3 boxmaker, HS, were among the most actives during the week. Of course, they are all as depressed as CPU. But this could indicate some optimism in the market for PC's. HS is selling a stunning price/sales ratio of 0.2! I think I will investigate that one.

I agree on the BBY example. Everything they sell is just as much of a commodity as what CompUSA sells: CDs, computer, appliances, etc. They also have razor thin margins. 1/2 of their sales are from computers, but their stock is at an all time high. The business model has worked in the past and will work in the future.

Richard, Thanks for observing the trend, I kind of lost sight of that. Hopefully it will continue and next Friday will we be two for two. One note on the spin-off. You and I agree that I am not sure what it will do as far as upward movement for the stock, but I know the street and the little guy investor is going to be very unhappy if this does not happen. Hairball promised details in early April. I hope he delivers on this as his word has been compromised in the last 60 days and he needs to start reestablishing some credibility.
