>>> My style seems to be a combination of buy good stocks and hold them and trade good stocks on a t/a basis.

Good morning ... we have a day off <yuk> gggg

I am tending more and more towards your trading style, Larry . Big surprise.

The no name's were just taking my money.

As I mentioned earlier this week ... I was on a real losing streak and am not sure if it is over yet.
Many of the losers I have sold were in my long term account ... stocks that I "went long" on, causen they went down, instead of up.

I have replased them with some "good ones", DIS F RAD CD (??)and even if they go down a tad from where I entered, I know they will go back up ... they are company's that have earnings and are not going bankrupt, or be unable to make payments on debt.

This is my year to date for long and trade accounts ...
It is the reason I did so much selling in the long account this week. Notice the demise of the "long" account.

end of Jan LONG TRADE
ytd 10.34% 25.28%

end of Feb 3.66% 17.86%
ytd

end of march -6.50% 23.62%
ytd

thank you for your continued pestering/chiding ... about my wrong way charts .... It sure took long enough ... but it is finally sinking into this old stubborn girl.

Your friend ... Sue :o)

Larry, thanks

as we have said many times before, there are numerous ways to make a $ in the market
if one follows the style they are most comfortable with, and sticks to their trading rules with vigor, all can do well

I follow your picks every day but rarely play them; my loss; I often kick myself for not following your lead
your results are terrific

I tend to be a vulture; find a situation; move in and out in a very short period of time
lots of effort, time, stress; not for all

I have really blown it in my position hold account this year; for some reason have struggled to find entries; and have been at least 50% cash all year in a bull run
not sure way as in the past my ability to pick position plays worked well
I really need to re think a few things

I have about 1/3 of my trading funds in a day trade margin account and 2/3's in a cash position account
results are not exact as I move funds in and out a lot, but close estimates so far are:
trading +92%
position +9%
total +37%

I need to get back to some basics so that I do not have to be glued to the monitor every minute; it's ok to be housebound during the winter, but with the trees in bud and the frogs doing their mating calls it is time to start to get away from this screen more often

Passover, Easter, and Daylight Savings Time is always a good time of the year to make some changes

have a great long weekend
