It seems to me that each piece of IBM is being forced to operate like they were an individual company. This is a deliberate strategy to deal with the issues in the previous 2 posts. No longer is a product unit able to depend on the competition not having access to IBM technology from another area of the company. If a better product is available from another company, it is incorporated in other IBM offerings. More progress in forcing entrepreneurship is needed. Scott
