I believe that reference was made to the competitiveness of the technology, not the profitability. Only a complete moron would argue that the two companies are "neck and neck" in terms of profitability.

AMZN and plenty of other very successful (in terms of stock performance, which is what I care about) companies are LOSING money and will be for the foreseeable future. You shouldn't allow Paul's constant repetition of the obvious make you narrow minded.

AMD has forced Intel to push Celeron performance within a few percent of their top of the line processor. In their effort to hurt AMD, Intel has had to play a lot of their trump cards.

The next big push by AMD (K7) will likely change the x86 world forever.
