I looked into AB Whatley last year and got as far as filling out all the paperwork for an account. They are not a traditional broker per se, but offer very fast executions, Level II quotes, etc services geared primarily toward the day trader. Essentially, you - the trader - have direct access to ECNs and the inside market.

FWIW, I heard on CNBC that Gomez indicated the ratings on Whatley had increased a lot. There used to be a Whatley thread here on SI.
