Pat:
Dell is looking swell.
1. Very little talk around here about selling Dell now.
2. Big margin/risk players got shaken out when it hit $36.
3. Intc just released new cheaper faster chip. Dell will be one of the first to have it out. E-machines probably got stuck with 400k of the older slower chips. Computer mfgs using AMD lose any price advantage.CPQ computers sitting in Radio shacks will be outmoded.
4. The seven new Dell plants will not be producing spaghetti or
Texas Chili. And they are not planning to put a dairy farm on the two square miles of land in Dixieland
5. We will be getting preliminary reports on Dellauction activites
soon. And an update on $/day of computer/server/storage sales over the Web site.
6. Office 2000 has been released to manufacturers and is soon due in stores.
7. We can soon expect some price cuts with the new Intc chips out.
Am sure you remember what happened when Dell cut prices up to 45% in October 1996- the stock headed to the Moon and never looked back.
Regards
Sig

Patrick,
Hi!!!
RE: Kemble, the stock market is closed but the Futures market indicates an upward bias when we get moving on Monday.

I think that there should be an "upward bias" towards a PC company that just announced they will hire as many people this year that they did last year...They are building so many facilities at a rapid rate that the real labor problem may be wearing coveralls....Kevin Rollins announcing that "we will grow at our historic rate" has me itching to BUY MORE DELL Monday morning...

CAN'T GET ENOUGH DELL....

Best, Kemble
