Counting in QP2

Didn't someone post a clever answer to this within the last ten days or so?

You might check back on this site or the OneList.

Clearly you could print an incremented cariable in the report

You can also watch the counter in the scan as it runs

And there is always QPFS which should soon, it it doesn't let you do this.

What you are looking for is a global variable to use.
unfortunately, the design of the scans are such that a global cant exist..

for example it would be nice to say...

global_integer c1, c2, c3;

if close(0) > 0 then
c1 := c1+1;
......................

While I am at it.. Has anyone tried to use the NOT operator??
I can't get it to work even when typing in the example verbatum..
Using the Not operator is actually a work around because I really needed to use the <> not equal relational operator that most languages include.

if open(0) <> close(0) then....// this excludes issues that didnt trade...
