Obviously everybody knows this. The point I was trying to make is that in the end, the only comparison between companies that has any merit is who makes money and who doesn't. Any other comparisons are of little significance. You can have the greatest technology, the best design, the best architecture the best everything but if you keep losing money what value is there is saying you are "neck and neck" with your competition? The AMD investors still think they are competing in the academic world while the Intel investors realize it's profits that pay the bills. Try paying the bill for the Dresden Fab with K7 foil presentations and "so much potential". Oooo's and ahhhhs won't replace cash. Money talks and AMD walks.
