Scumbria - Re: K7 performance.

I think the Power PC a few years ago also kicked Intel's butt (supposedly) in performance. Several RISC designs have operated at higher clock than Intel forever. The K7 will not have the Microsoft problem. however, the K7's manufacturing plan can only supply a fraction of the market best case. AMD is shooting for #2, and to make a decent profit they will, again, have to execute flawlessly, as they will have a very limited window, if any.

Re: "K7 is anticipated to have much higher FPU performance than Intel processors in the same time frame."

How much revenue has "anticipation" generated?
