Welcome to the thread, and keep posting.

I do tend to agree with you regarding Fab 30 and Cu risk.

Clearly Jerry has bet the farm on taking a leadership position from Intel.

On the design side they have bet on the K-7 and it sure looks good (at least on the foils and limited demos).

If AMD had just bet on Al, my guess is that they would be in production already with k-3's at fab 30. As you know they were ready to run silicon at start of the year. Now we are at a big unknown with Fab 30.

If they really pull off Cu and 0.18 micron by Q4 then you will see 800Mhz K7's for sure and you guys will be in big trouble.

The likelihood of course is that they will have poor yields and piss off the OEMS again till mid next year or so at the earliest.

The next 3 months or should be fun as we wait to see how things shakeout.
