Since Serbia has blocked satellite TV feeds, several news correspondents have been using satellite phones to communicate. I wonder who they are using? This is the kind of marketing opportunity Iridium should be exploiting. CNN should be saying "we're in touch with blah over the Iridium sat network". Inmarsat is completely impractical for covert use. Plus, why spend $5,000 on an imarsat when you can get a I* for $3k and have the same per-minute charges OR LESS. Furthermore, inmarsat has far too of a delay to be usable for TV news. Do you know how long it takes a signal to get to the clarke belt and back? Dragonfly
