Sorry, no cats. Human success in training dogs results I believe from the close similarity of social arrangements of men and canidae, especially wolves. A dog (or man) really wants to belong to the pack (or family). The average cat doesn't give a cat. The dog submits voluntarily to the alpha animal (the dog trainer) -- the cat simply runs away because he's not a pack animal (but lionesses are -- it should be quite possible to train lionesses to do tricks -- like in the circus). IMO, the average cat is less trainable than a schizophrenic dog (and far more dangerous and less lovable (except of course for Spike!).
