Overall, investors seem to be leaning much more heavily towards non-PC areas, like telecommunications equipment, something Weekday Trader suggested ("Bulls Say Qualcomm is Poised for More Gains," Feb. 9). The focus of our story, Qualcomm, has doubled since then, closing at 137 Thursday.

As we foresaw in the story, it just resolved a patent dispute with Ericsson, which also bought Qualcomm's money-losing infrastructure business. That and sharing key patents will enable Qualcomm to widen its European base -- and royalty stream. On Thursday, the shares hit their fifth 52-week high in six trading days and Salomon Smith Barney set a new 12-month price target of 170.
