Clarent Corporation Supplies Phone to Phone Technology to Netherlands PTT
Market Trials Began April 1, 1999
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1999--Clarent(TM) Corporation, the worldwide leader in carrier-grade, phone-to-phone IP telephony solutions, announced today that it is one of the suppliers of IP telephony technology to KPN Telecom Netherlands for KPN's first phone-to-phone IP telephony market trial.

The trials are set to begin on 1 April, 1999 and last until 1 June. The purpose of the trials is to test market price and voice quality for IP-telephony in the Dutch market.

Clarent Corporation Receives Contract From AT&T To Deploy IP Telephony Technology For AT&T Internal Calling
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1999-- Clarent(TM) Corporation today announced that it has received a contract from AT&T, which will deploy Clarent IP telephony technology in a portion of AT&T's internal corporate network.

The agreement establishes unit-pricing, volume-purchase and other provisions under which AT&T will buy Clarent equipment for use in sending internal voice and fax traffic in packetized, Internet protocol format over portions of AT&T's intranet.
