re: reading material....many of the books mentioned here, I've had the opportunity to read, all having strengths...my favorite happens to be Elder's book, Trading for A Living..cuz he strikes what I feel is the most important aspect of trading...market psychology... and the fact that technical analysis measures that behavior.

Here's post that I placed on another thread a couple weeks ago referencing another book which I hold in high regard...

Daytrading into the Millennium by Michael Turner

Recently, I ordered this book, and when I opened the fed ex package, I was somewhat
overwhelmed that I just paid nearly $70 for a paperback book with a little over 200 pages and
margins wider than what I see in my three year old daughter's books along with fonts large enough
for the blind to read. I have never paid so much for a book, not even in my ripoff college, book buying
experiences.

HOWEVER, while I'm reading this book, I cannot help but think of what I go through on a day to
day basis while trading. Michael Turner, evidently spent a few days within my mind.

His topics are defined in general terms although certain subjects are very specific. The strength of this
book happens to be topics ALL traders, investors, and speculators should consider.

I've read many a book, and must admit this one makes the shortlist...$70 well invested...

BTW, Jenna, you're awesome...
