I said yesterday that the WebNode contract was "BOGUS." Today it is confirmed by the Department of Energy Office of Science. Don't be surprised if an "article" or two come out this weekend declaring WebNode's deal a scam.

I can tolerate much. . .but not being FOOLED in my own HOME. . .I wonder how the Office of Energy heard about them. . and why Wired wrote about them yesterday. . . HMMmmmm. . .

Here is what is linked to the front page of the Dept. of Energy:

On April 1, 1999, Webnode.com announced in a press release that "it has been granted an exclusive contract by the US Department of Energy, Office of Science to raise $4 billion in funding for the new countrywide state-of-the-art fiber optic Next Generation Internet (NGI) to replace the existing copper backbone." This statement is false. The Office of Science categorically denies the existence of any such contract.

NEXT.

<OT>

Yesterday, about 1300 emails were received, most of which were orders for nodes, and inquiries for stock purchases. An additional 600 were received today.
