I was platinum last quarter, but not this quarter. I was only a few trades short, and I could easily have made it up during the "trade the dow free" day. The reason I didn't is because they were not sending advance notice of IPOs. Suddenly they send an advance notice for VUSA on the last day of the quarter. I hope they get consistent someday.

Tom:

My assumption is that a Platinum user getting E*Trade notice, if it comes to them at the start of the opening period (apparently the norm now?), would lock in their IOI first and notify the thread second. I know I would. <g>

Regarding your comment, that seems reasonable. However one poster already stated he called a friend before putting in an IOI. While this is a very Christian thing of him to do, I wonder how well this "plan" will work for him when we start seeing 10 minute windows of IOI.

All in all, it is to each his own. Obviously we are all going to try and help each other out here, but I am sure people are (at least I assume they are if they are trying to grow a portfolio) going to lock in their on IOI first and then post. There are always exceptions, even to something as logical as the above.

But, that is what makes life interesting!
