And, in fact, EDODRAM (while it worked technically) had a very short and unsuccesful market life. Synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) quickly replaced it because it had a shorter name. <g> More proof of the theory. Jeff, please consider changing the name of Direct Rambus DRAM to something shorter. I'll bet that if you change it to Rambus RAM (RRAM) you'll have it shipping by next Friday, maybe the week after that, at the latest. Dave p.s. uncle, good point about the fact that DRDRAM comes before SLDRAM alphabetically. I'll examine the effect of the alphabet on the success of various memory techonologies in a follow-on post.
