I didn't say to not use the internet. In fact it has already been suggested that the information being discussed (patents) be more fully explained to investors on the company's website. In a controlled setting like that disclosure would not be an issue and we, the investors, would have reasonable assurance about the integrity of the information. If misleading information is presented, at least we would know who to hold responsible.

Using SI and other bulletin boards as a vehicle for official company information is another matter. Here the signal-to-noise ratio can sometimes be quite low as this thread has experienced lately. With people posting under aliases for all sorts of reasons, some good, some bad, all sources are suspect until verified. Not a great environment for official company communications.
