>Why do you suppose the US dominates the world?<

You must know something the rest of us don't. If you had spent any significant time abroad you would realize that while the US does have a more significant effect on the rest of the world than say San Marino or Papua New Guinea, it hardly dominates. If you were to spend any time outside of our borders you wouldn't be so quick in your carte blanche condemnation of anything this country stands for. I think you, like millions of others is the US could benefit from an extended sabbatical to some third world locale, where the words freedom and self actualization are little more than slogans to people who have to fight every day of their lives just to survive.

The irony of it is, that any nation on earth could achieve what we have here if they just knew how to go about throwing off their chains and were willing to invest the day to day hard work and vigilance that is the cost of freedom. I believe that the lesson of freedom could be the US's legacy to the rest of the world.
