Donkeyman, institutions, mutual funds, and the likes can buy what they please and at what price they choose. In general, usually most do not like to buy any security under $2 but that depends on the institution. Some stay within the TSE 300 some do not. With the kind of daily volume generated it looks like institutional positioning.Small frys and day traders just don't generate this kind of volume.

Mutual Fund Buying

Donkeyman,

Perhaps one can learn from past experience regarding mutual fund buying of a stock when it is added to any index. Once the announcement that AOL would be made a component of the S&P it soared and continued its upward momentum on the actual date of inclusion and thereafter.

This news is dynamite! Great primer to NASDAQ listing.....

Regards,

Tom
