new question: TurboTax did not print out form 4952.

I use TurboTax to file my 1998 return. I have investment expenses which I entered in Form 4952: Investment Interest Expense Deduction. I am filing as an investor (deduction taken on Schedule A).

However, since my Schedule D shows a loss, the Investment Expense must be carried over to next year. The problem is that TurboTax does not print out form 4952 even if the top of the form says include it with my return.

My question: I am planning to send form 1040PC to have a speedy return, but if I have to include Form 4952, then I must file the traditional way (i.e. print out form 4952 explicitly and then include it with my return). My question to anybody using TurboTax is: Should I send Form 4952 (send traditional 1040) or should I just omit it (form 1040PC). TurboTax support, as usual, is no help. I am wondering why I keep buying their software every year for the past 7 years or so.

TIA,

//V

What to do with my Marvel stock warrants conversion???

I had some 3000 shares of Marvel Entertainment (MRV) stock, bought in 97 &98.

Marvel no longer exists as these 3000 shares but was converted to 3 types of warrants with varying expiration dates. The they showed up in my account 1-7-99.

The question, the total value that shows up in my account for these warrants is a whopping $20, yup twenty bucks!

My original investment cost basis was around $3500.

Is there a tax write off for me here for 1998 in some way.

I searched for hours through the IRS for an answer, nothing.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

Best Regards,

MJY
