More on China CDMA From the April 5, 1999 issue of Cahner's Wireless Week (China Reverses CDMA Stance" (Hot Stories Next Week). Pardon if this has been previously posted.

wirelessweek.com

<Excerpt>

"It had been expected that GSM and CDMA would gel into a single third-generation technology for use by the Chinese. Now (Michael) Ricks (Ericsson China president) foresees a single handset able to roam between the two technologies in China."

Re : [Wireless] Phones not "outlawed" since article points out:

"Exceptions are allowed for an emergency, using the phone when the transmission is in "park" or if a speakerphone is used."

Is there a special exemption for phone calls to and from brokerage firms when buying shares in wireless company stocks ?

Jon.
