Well then, that lawsuit means little, unless they need the use of the money desperately! I don't think so. Or, unless this description is a misrepresentation of the case. I don't think so. This outfit seems to have been pretty straight, IMO. Who knows? This was priced at a couple of bucks a share on the promise of what has finally started. A sale! Well, only time will tell how they sell. Sounds like Hollywood would love them...shhh! How quiet are they? The buyer appears to be a good distributor for the Hollywood market. This stock traded at 50cents Jan 1 '98. Looking back to '96, this stock has closed as high as 2.75 a share(single day). It's seen good time above a dollar based on the promise of future sales. Now they have a real sale. Well, it's a start. I can't help but like this stock. It seems highly likely that the payoff in energy savings using their ballasts covers the extra cost in short order and can be independently proven. Good sales may well ensue. And they are quiet!- I never did like the sound of those things.

Thanks so much for the info on the lawsuit, it did have me worried. Kind of surprised that a story didn't get released on the wire about it since it appears that it's not SLSIs fault and that all things have been handled honorably. I'm glad that I expanded my position regardless of the suit and at this point I'm looking to add a little more. 1999 should be a good year for SLSI. Just being patient in anticipation of a really large contract.

Chris, while you where talking to Mr. Spire did you happen to broach the idea of a company rep. occasionally posting on this thread?

NEWS OUT: Was anyone aware that SLSI had hired an Investor Relations
firm?

Check this out:

biz.yahoo.com

Whoever the IR firm is, they sure haven't been doing a very good job of promoting SLSI.

Hopefully we'll have some more positive news soon.

Ron

Summary of Ron Spire's outlook

Ron feels that the Norton deal is a watershed event.

Norton held a dinner for which they invited all of their
customers specifically to push the SLS ballasts for
energy savings. Norton supplies the planning, fixtures
and installation, and SLS supplies the ballasts.

The City of Los Angeles is a big Norton customer.
The Energy Czar for LA had a private demo and was impressed.
He's thinking about using them in the LA schools.

The Norton deal is not something that is going to earn SLS a million
sales overnight, but Ron feels that it has validated their
concept, and is the start of the next phase of the company.

IMO, if all this pans out, SLS should be doing really well by the
end of the year.
